ARE YOU passionate about food and desperate for the chance to write about it?
‘Khyen Chyen’, Kashmir’s first and only Food & Beverages journal encourages food writers to channel their thoughts and creativity into a piece that captures the way they think about food. The aim is to inspire a new generation to pick up the baton when it comes to food writing.
Write an article (1,000 words maximum) on either:
- 1 There’s more to Kashmiri cuisine than Wazwan
- 2 Kashmir’s Winter Food: A Lost Heritage
- 3 Kashmir’s Street Food- A Critical View
Author of the best write-up from each theme will be invited for lunch along with companion by Valleys three top hotels
- Taj Vivanta, Srinagar.
- Lalit Grand Palace.
- Khyber Resorts & Spa, Gulmarg
Selected articles will be published in the Khyen Chyen, both print and online.
The competition is open to all. Entries should be emailed in MS word file and with a covering note listing your name, age, occupation, contact address and phone number(s). Closing date is noon on 20th December 2018. The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
